The EMHRN's Gender Project

The WG's current project consist in organising bi-annual workshops with the participation of the main networks in the region working on gender issues and women’s rights, as well as with generalist human rights NGOs.  The project is aimed at discussing, monitoring and implementing the following:

- An update of the successful and widely diffused EMHRN report on women’s rights and advocating for the implementation of the report's recommendations
- Production of a training kit on gender mainstreaming to be used by local NGOs
- Two sub regional training courses on gender mainstreaming
- Monitoring of gender mainstreaming within the EMHRN organisations and executive bodies
- Monitoring of gender mainstreaming of EMHRN activities
- Production of policy recommendations on key issues relevant to gender equality in the region
