Migrants and refugees face considerable difficulties when it comes to exercising their rights to health care and/or employment.
Nevertheless, migrants and refugees in European Union countries have various possible forms of recourse, legal in particular, which guarantee access to a certain number of their rights. The case-law of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), as well as a number of texts adopted by the European Union, have contributed greatly to strengthening migrant and refugee rights.
