Martyr Ahmed Saeed Habboush Human Rights Training Course for Syrian Civil Society Activists Concluded in Cairo

On Tuesday, 21 February 2012, the Arab Organization for Human Rights (AOHR) and the Palestinian Centre for Human on Rights (PCHR) concluded a training course titled "Martyr Ahmed Said Habboush" on human rights and justice mechanisms for activists of the Syrian civil society. OPEN LETTER TO THE GOVERNMENT AND THE JUDICIARY OF SPAIN

More than 80 human rights NGOs from Europe, America, Oceania, Africa and Asia will contact this week the Spanish embassies in their respective countries in order to denounce the undue sentence of the judge Baltasar Garzón and the serious violation of the independence of the judiciary brought about by three criminal proceedings implemented agaisnt him. ANHRI is deeply disturbed over the campaign of intimidation waged by the parliamentary majority against the parliamentary minority in the Egyptian People’s Assembly. Syria: Bambuser blocked to blackout authorities’ crimes

ANHRI condemns the Syrian government for its blocking of Bambuser website, specialized in live video streaming via cell phones and laptops, on 16 February 2012 after the website had been used to broadcast live videos of the shelling of Homs city by al-Assad’s army.
