National reports on the independence and impartiality of Justice

Each national workshop in Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia is followed by the drafting of a national report on the independence and impartiality of the judiciary in the respective countries.

The task to draft a national report is trusted to a local legal expert working under the supervision and with the support of the local members of the Justice Working Group. The aim of the reports is to trigger a debate on judicial issues at local level while feeding into ongoing activities on judicial reform such as those envisaged in the Action Plans of the European Neighbourhood Policy.

The reports were published in the end of 2007/early 2008 and in 2010. They were distributed via the EMHRN website as well as by emails. NGO partners ensure distribution at local level.
